This is my response and way of venting based on the sheer fact that as of the next two weeks, not one but 2 of my favourite cartoon animations will not be renewed for a third season. If you're a DC fan or at least watch DC Nation on Saturday mornings, you would know that both Young Justice and Green Lantern the Animated Series will not be gracing my mornings with new episodes of awesomeness.
It has been confirmed that, for whatever reason, both shows have been cancelled by Cartoon Network and shall end inconclusively with only 2 seasons, ultimately to be replaced by a spin-off of Teen Titans (a DC show that I sadly could never take seriously enough to follow the series) and another Batman series (Need I say more. ANOTHER Batman cartoon. Honestly CN =_=; ).
So yeah, this is just me reacting to that realization. Man this totally sucks, I really really liked YJ and GLTAS, YJ especially. Young Justice was the first DC-based animated series that I actually got into since the days of Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. As a matter of fact, I got more into YJ than I did with JL so that says something.
And as for Green Lantern, to be honest, I didn't really care for the series at first until I actually sat down and watched one of the episodes after becoming completely infatuated with the character Razer. I like him. He was awesome and I never missed another episode of GL following that. So yeah, Razer got me hook on GLTAS.
And it didn't exactly help my fangirl mind when I started shipping him with Aya and the two became my OTP for the series. But I digress.
#le sigh# I'm going to miss both of this great shows when they're gone. Though there shall be many reruns, as a stated clearly on my tumblr, my Saturday mornings shall never be the same without these two shows (...at least until Korra and maybe Thundercats return). But all in all, I'm going to definitely miss Young Justice and Green Lantern.
Oh yeah and as a side note, my mom really doesn't mind me watching or fangirling over the cartoons that I love.
