I’m not even kidding about this one folks. What can I say? I’m more of an RPG and old school platformer type of gamer girl with the occasional taste for fighting and horror-based shooting games under my belt. However when it comes to racing or to be more specific, driving games...unless it is Mario Kart then this is basically what happens to me after a while when I’m playing one.

Eventually it gets to a point where I no longer give a sugar honey ice tea anymore and just start trying to run over all the things. For real. Worse yet is if there are people in the game. Y’know like those AI characters whose sole purpose in the game is to always find themselves in your way whenever you go zooming down the road. Yes those little buggers.
I’m not gonna lie to yuh folks. If there are actually mobile AI characters in a racing game or a game that involves me actually having to drive then I will literally try to run them over.
Not because I enjoy running game characters over or anything (if that's you're thinking) but more so out of curiosity. The sheer curiousity to see whether or not I actually can run them over.

Don't act like you don't try to do the same thing too if you see characters walking about in a game, especially when they're in your way whenever you lose control of your game car. Am I right?

I know there are some racing or driving games like Grand Theft Auto where you have the obligation of running characters over with your car (like those poor CGI prostitutes whose hard earned money you jack). But then there are other games where there are people walking the pavements but running them down or doing anything to endanger their livelihood is completely restricted in the game.

I remember this one time whenI played this game that I have called Driver for the old Playstation I. Like any typical driving game, you of course have to drive a car and worse yet have to follow a map that never seems to make sense most of the time no matter how many times you look at it. But I digress. Anyways while playing the game, I noticed that there were people walking about in the game so of course, my curiosity kicks in and I tried to see if I could knock the character down just to know the limits of the game. Y'know just in case I start driving like a lunatic and accidentally run over one of the AIs in my wake.

However, and this is the jokey part here, every time I tried to run the AIs over, they did what I can only describe as the sensible thing in a videogame and would jump out of the way (and miraculously survive) whenever my car came speeding towards them. At first I thought it was just luck the first time but this happened every time. Believe me, I spent 30 minutes of precious game time trying to run one of these suckers over.
Seriously. And I just never could because they would always jump out of the way. But did that falter my curiousity?
No it did not.
Heck I even cornered one of these suckers in a dead end ally in the game and you would think that THEN he would be a goner but NOOOOO.... when I tried to run the character over, the character, on instinct, jumped out of the way and went straight through the ally wall in the game causing a momentary glitch.

That was when I learned the valuable lesson of don’t mess with the game programming. If the gamer gods said it was meant for you to be able to knock that AI down then it would have been so. However, that was not the case with Driver.
So...yeah, me and racing/driving games----not the best of friends. I mean I’ll play them occasionally especially if it’s Mario Kart but you’re more likely to catch me playing that type of the game while in the company of friends rather than by myself.

I like more story-driven type of games with lots of loveable characters (who I can gush over and ship like Fedex with other characters), beautiful CGI backgrounds with addicting complementary background music and more importantly where I get to hack and slash at my enemies and perform super flashy Quickening and Limit Break attacks with lots and lots of sparkles and shit. Oh! And where I also get to summon kickass monsters and Pokemon-like creatures (yeah that's right. You look me in the eye and tell me those thangs ain't Pokemon O.o) to my side to perform even more flashy signature moves and combo attacks that over kill my opponents. :icondurrhurrplz:

That’s right, Kingdom Hearts---I’m looking straight at you and that’s why you’re my no. 1 favourite game of all time next to Chrono Cross and any Final Fantasy game really. I also enjoy playing platformers especially the old school pixel ones. Two of my favourites being Crash Bandicoot and the old school </b>Kirby</b>. Plus I recently realized that I enjoy Resident Evil games too. I’ve only played 4 but if I had to play that game again, I would. It was a lot of fun especially since I don’t usually play survival horror games or shooters for that matter.

Yeah RE4 was some serious fun. Scary. Made me shit bricks at one point and neglect my Wii (if you've played the game then you probably experienced with the same thing as me) for a week but still a lot of fun :]

All in all, we gamers be gamers and we all have our preferences, am I right?
So what’s yours?

If you’re a gamer boy or gamer girl, what type of games do you like to play and how do you feel about racing/driving games?

Let me know what you think and I hope you all enjoyed this comic ^_^

This has been another original Shady Squiggles comic brought to yours truly. Starring myself and my OC babies: Sugar (boy) and Candy (girl). Know their names and faces because you'll be seeing more of them.
Toodles peeps.
