A blunt man. Perhaps, a little too blunt.

Taken from the scene in episode 4 where Asami introduces Mako to her father. Now I know what you all must thinking. I know I kinda over exaggerated this scene a bit and I know Hiroshi didn’t really say all of those things to Mako but to be frank, he didn’t NEED to.
That one sentence sorta implied all of those things.
At least that’s how it played out in my head.
No matter how many times I watch over this same scene, I get a laugh every time Hiroshi repeats this same line because it’s just so...well...BLUNT...like a bullet!

I mean I know Hiroshi is RICH and has the BALLS to say whatever he wants however he wants but still...
Damnnnn Hiroshi, I know yuh rich bro but way to kick a dude in the man pride.

Seriously, it’s one of those things that a character says that makes you go “Ooooooh!” or “Ooooooh shiiiiit!” or in my case, “DAMMMMMN Naga! That’s cold dog.” (Yush that is indeed widdle ole me in the background in the fifth panel going like that. I really could not help it because that’s what I thought when I first heard that line.)

And poor Mako. Did you see his face? Look at Mako’s face after that statement was made. That was clearly the face of a boy who took a hyperthetical bullet to the BALLS! Not his real BALLS but his metaphorical BALLS. Y’know his ego.

He looked so embarrassed when Hiroshi called him dirt poor (I just wanted to run over and hug him).
But seriously couldn’t have Hiroshi used a less blunt word.
He could have said “Well I understand that you’re having financial problems” or be fancy and use big words like “Well I understand that you’re not economically ensured enough at the current moment.”
He didn’t even try to sugar coat it or soften the blow.

I mean I know Hiroshi didn’t say it to mean, he was just being straightforward but still....DAMN!
No other word to describe that scene than DAMNN!

O_o But all in all, I like Hiroshi. His bluntness at least gave me a laugh in that episode. So yeah I like his ass and I’m looking forward to seeing more scenes with him being as blunt as f**k.
